Looking back over the steps in her career and spiritual journey, Edwina feels a deep sense of order and progress stemming from her love of God and her desire to help others.

After finishing school, she asked herself what she most wanted to do. The answer came clearly: to help people. This led her into a medically based healthcare career, where she loved working with patients.

In her late twenties, Edwina discovered Christian Science, which opened her thought to a new understanding of healthcare and healing. A sincere Christian who had explored numerous denominations in search of a deeper understanding of God, she quickly found that Christian Science answered her questions about God and healing in a meaningful and practical way. Many years later, she continues to find this to be true.

Not long after beginning her study of Christian Science, an unexpected new career opportunity arose. This role took her out of the clinical setting and into work that primarily involved helping students. Through this experience, Edwina learned that true intelligence comes from God alone and is never limited by education, background, or personal ability. Though she had struggled academically as a student, she eventually earned a doctorate while working full-time and raising a large family.

Edwina’s early desire to help others never left her, and this sincere motive eventually led her into the full-time practice of Christian Science healing. Today, as a Christian Science practitioner and teacher, she sees how every step of her journey has prepared her to better understand God’s loving care for all. This is the message she now shares as a Christian Science lecturer.
